About Us
We are a micro-baker specializing in organic sourdough bread and other items.
Bread has a long history in my family. This is my mom, Georganne. As long as I can remember, she was baking bread for our family, friends and anyone who might be shut in at home. She also baked bread for her many clients. She was known for this. She is one of the strongest, most loving people I have ever known.
A little about me, Bert. I was in the financial services business for almost four decades. One of the things I was known for was, you guessed it, baking bread for my clients. Later in my years I got this passion for a special kind of bread, sourdough. There was something special about “catching” wild yeast, nurturing it and then actually using it to make bread instead of store bought, yeast. A lot of people actually name their sourdough starter. I was never much into that but if I did name it, it would be George. My mom’s closest friends and family always called her George instead of Georganne.
